Your Critical Operational & Safety Documentation |

- Increase Fleet Readiness
- Improve Operational Efficiency
- Enhance Document Publishing
- Streamline the Delivery Process
- Decrease Maintenance Costs
|
| The DMSi Aviation Document Manager (ADM) is designed to increase the efficiency of the flight line mechanic
& support the FAA ATOS initiative. FAA inspectors now look at an airline as a whole, to see how the many elements of its
operations - from aircraft to pilots to maintenance facilities to flight dispatch to cabin safety - interact to meet federal
standards. Mitigate the risk of discrepancies and ensure that operational data relating to safety is consistent in all published
documentation. Focused on the aviation industry, our web-based aviation document management solution can dramatically reduce
paper-based information search time, decreasing maintenance costs while increasing fleet readiness. Providing the ability to
share critical safety content, documentation standards, and formats, the ADM can enhance the publishing process for all authors.
Authors will have the ability to share and reuse document components, all within your existing Microsoft? Word authoring
environment. |
Ensure that operational data relating to safety is consistent in all published
documentation |
The DMSi ADM layers a knowledge model over all service related data points including:
- Technical Manuals
- Temporary Revisions
- Service Bulletins
- Illustrated Parts Catalogs
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
|
ATA specific Maintenance Manuals and Temporary Revisions are delivered to the flight line mechanic as soon as they are
approved. The DMSi ADM is an integrated knowledge capture and authoring system, designed to increase the productivity of
flight line mechanics, customer service, flight operations, and in-flight teams.
|
The Labor-intensive Process for Distributing Temporary Revisions can be Eliminated. |
DMSi integrates:
- Microsoft? Word
- Knowledge Management Technology
- Content Management Software
for the delivery of intelligent electronic content.
The Aviation Document Manager:
- Does Not Require Data Conversion
- Works with all Existing Legacy and Structured Content
- Delivers Documentation to the flight line mechanic as soon as approved
|
 |
The Architecture |
The ADM is comprised of three components:
- Document Authoring
- Document Management
- Document Delivery
|
Document Authoring
Key to the authoring implementation is the DMSi Word
Bridge. This patent-pending integration process provides:
- Check-Out & Check-In from Microsoft? Word
- Version Control & Change Tracking
- Document Component Sharing & Reuse
- WYSIWYG XML Editing & Page Composition
|
Document Delivery
The delivery component utilizes a Case Based Reasoning (CBR) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engine. It can run on an Intranet or
Internet Server. The user interface can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the airline. The DMSi ADM delivers online
access to critical repair and maintenance information directly to the aircraft on the hangar floor and on the flight line.
Only the relevant document segment will be delivered to the mechanic, eliminating the need to download and manually scan
through the entire document.
- On-demand Printing Support
- Navigate utilizing ATA Numbering Scheme, keywords, or natural language queries
- Link to Service Bulletins, Troubleshooting Trees, & other Data Sources
|
Document Management
Management of the content is handled by a commercially available Content Management System (CMS). Structured and unstructured
content is organized and managed in the CMS. All in progress, in approval, and released content is stored and available for
reuse.
